This is the official site for Eaton and Eccleston Parish Council. Our aim is to inform residents of news and events within the parish. In the Parish Council section of this site residents are also able to access the minutes of parish council meetings and dates and the agenda of forthcoming meetings.
The civil parish of Eaton and Eccleston, previously known as the parish of Eaton, Eccleston and Claverton, was set up in May 2015 after a review of all the parish councils in the Borough of Cheshire West and Chester had been carried out. At that time the boundary line between the parish and the neighbouring parishes of Pulford and Dodleston was altered slightly and the number of Parish Councillors set at 7.
The parish lies just south of the City of Chester and comprises Eaton Park, the village of Eccleston and surrounding farmland.
The Eaton Estate is part of the Grosvenor Estate and is a private owned organisation. It includes the thriving villages of Aldford, Eccleston, Saighton as well as parts of the city centre and Handbridge. It contains some 435 homes, 15 farms and 72 commercial units, four schools and over 10,000 acres of high quality agricultural land in Cheshire, North West England.
